Catheif eyes produce a dim-light that allow it to see in the dark which helps it steal food from other Pokémon or trainers, find food or even steal items from trainers thanks to its Pickpocket ability.

Catheif are notorious for stealing from trainer's traveling through the forest at night. Though they love to steal, when owning one on your journey be careful owning one they might steal something that might have belong to someone else and give it to trainer as a gift.
